He's a hack. Drugs? I don't know. Don't let him near your eyes. His demeanor is wonderful. and then...look out.
Butchered my husband's eye during cataract surgery. Unprofessional. Turns out he's butchered a lot of people's eyes.
I saw Griswold in October of last year for dry eyes. He looked at my eyes and told me I had bilateral optic nerve atrophy and would go blind in both eyes! Told me he would schedule me for a test, turned and walked out the door. That was it! No explanation, nothing. I walked out and would not go back. One other ophthalmologist and anMRI of the brain have confirmed I do NOT have atrophy. In fact, my eyes are very healthy. This man’s “retirement “ was the best thing that could have happened. He should not be practicing.
DO NOT let Dr. Griswold touch your eyes. My cataract surgery was botched. I had the wrong shape lens inserted, it’ in crooked and it chafes my iris. I have edema. The eye was pitted with a laser treatment. I am 2 years post-op and my vision is distorted. He should not be practicing. I know 2 others who also have problems after he operated.
He barely looked at my eyes, and told me I needed cataract surgery and my diabetic neuropathy is so bad I also need surgery for that and sent me to a retina specialist. I kept asking questions about my conditions and he said ask the retina specialist. He charged me $100 more then I usually pay and barely looked at my eyes. At the beginning of the exam he asked me about my A1C, which was over 10. And he drew his conclusions from that info instead of looking at my eyes. I went to the retina spe
I was scheduled for cataract surgery, paid $2500 for a restor lens, had the surgery cancelled since the doctor had issues with Oro Valley Hospital and have been trying to recover my money since late January. I would not give this office even a one star review.
My review is no stars at all. He ruined my right eye. I have been to a specialist that said the lens is not even in place and is eroding my iris, and its a far sight lens. Totally messed up. I would say don't go. I know 2 others, same problems.
I saw Dr. Griswold for a cataract consult on 11/28/18. I was told that he could no longer perform cataract surgery at Oro Valley Hospital and was looking for an alternate location . I was told Dr. Griswold would perform surgery at Northwest Surgical Center. I was finally scheduled for both eyes and had both surgeries cancelled. I paid $5,000 for premium lenses and have been requesting my money back since February 11th, no calls back and today his office hung up on me, time for an attorney.
BEWARE!! DO not have any surgery with this man. He has a reputation in the ophthalmology communittee for botching eyes. There are current measures being taken to take this negligant surgeon out of practice. Save your eyeball and go elsewhere, there are many other skilled surgeons in Tucson that can take care of you.
