Patient centered care starts with understanding diagnoses. I spend a lot of time discussing MRI/imaging findings to help patients understand these. With improved understanding, more informed treatment plans can be made - this yields significantly improved patient (and physician) satisfaction.

I would highly recommend Dr. Magner!!!! He is a great person to talk to. He was very open and how he described my symptoms and procedure to me, was great. After my surgery, he was always there for me to talk to and ask questions. Absolutely amazing
I was hopeful that Dr Magner would alleviate my pain. nOw almost two years later I am numb in both feet. It weirdly it comes and goes but two days ago I woke up and almost fell because my right foot was so numb. Prior to the surgery it was a little numb and my right foot was fine now they are both a problem. They told n=me it would get better over tie but it has not. too bad his NP was terrific.
I pray no one allows him to do surgery on them, he has done three of the same surgeries on me. I feel worse then I did before he did them. He lied and told me he was going to do one thing and after surgery, he told me he did for me to find out from another doctor he didn't . I asked him about it he back peddled. Stay away from him in Jesus name. Only thing good was a few nurses. He needs a negative star to the 10 power!!!!!!!!!
Terrible doc mis diagnosis that doesn’t listen to his patients
My husband had spine surgery by Dr. Magner. He told us he would be back to 100% in 4 months, but likely 2-3. In our office visits with him, the most we ever got was probably 4 minutes...before major spine surgeries. We're at almost 6 months and my husband still needs a cane to walk and just visited his "3rd opinion" today to try to get better.
Dr. Mark Magner is a hero. He saved my life. He performed a life-saving, emergency surgery on my spine and I can't even imagine what would have happened had Dr. Magner not been my doctor. He is thorough, kind, intelligent, communicative, genuine and caring. The absolute best. I trust him completely. I am deeply grateful and he is the only neurosurgeon I ever want for my future care.
I received the worst care i have ever had from a Doc. Dr. Magner did not listen to what my condition was. I feel he already made his decision from a CT scan that was taken from the Christ Hospital ER before my appointment with him. I went to the ER 3 nights in a row for severe pain in my neck. I told the ER and DR. Magner i have experienced sever pain before with rotator cuff surgery and the pain i was in was far worse. He diagnosed me with bone spurs on my neck. After not getting the care needed and a miss diagnosis I conta... read more
Can not recommend...horrific outcome of the surgery he performed
Dr. Magner is phenomenal! He was very confident in his abilities in a way that made us feel as comfortable as you can about having brain surgery. Magner and his PA explained the condition and procedure in ways we could understand. They were both able to answer any question we had without hesitation and the procedures went flawlessly! My father underwent 2 brain tumor removals with this physician. When he came out of surgery the first thing he said was how amazing Dr. Magner is!
