I went on a recommendation to see a Dr. Mark Gittins, DO at the Ortho Neuro clinic for my Hip pain that I am still experiencing. I told them at the time that my pain level per their chart was between 8-10 after doing the X-rays that they wanted this Dr. told me that the pain that I was having was due to my spine, and that there might be some muscle issues in my hip, and to get an MRI, he sent me to schedule an appointment with their spinal specialist and to get the MRI scheduled. Nothing offered

He does not talk to you, seems in a hurry, not the least bit friendly. After 2 years, I still cannot climb stairs with the one knee he "repaired." I'm going to the other New Albany doctors, my wife had superb results.

Dr. Mark Gittins and ALL the Ortho Neuro staff are excellent. Dr. Gittins is a very skilled surgeon. The staff are also very skilled. Everyone was so friendly, caring, patient and compassionate. So glad I chose Ortho Neuro for my surgery. Thank you to each of you.

Second time having Dr. Gittins do a procedure on me and would definitely come back. He made me feel very comfortable and was always so nice.

1) He told me he was going to do an anterior hip replacement but did a standard approach. 2) He was not concerned when I continued not to recover function of my hip even 3 months post surgery. 3) He spoke negatively about other professionals'' concerns when I relayed them to him. 4) He accused me of not doing physical therapy aggressively enough. 5) When I sought a 2nd opinion after 6 months, I was told that the 2 tendons cut during surgery were torn and would have to be surgically repaired.

I went to Dr. Gittins experiencing excrutiating pain and an inability to walk on my own. My previous surgeon consistently ignored my symptoms and what I was telling him was happening to me. Dr. Gittins identified my problem on my first visit and immediately scheduled my surgery as well as assigning other physicians for additional testing and treatment. In less than two months I am walking and feeling better than I have in years. I can't thank him enough for listening, caring and quality care.
