I never felt rushed. I knew what to expect. Every appointment was on time. Surgery was a success. I was able to call with questions and get timely answers. Very happy.
Dr Smith has a quiet intelligent demeanor. He is thorough and genuinely listens to what his patients are experiencing. Always going the extra mile he is the top neurosurgeon in Charlotte in my opinion. My wife has seen his expertise in the OR and immediately chose him for my care.
I met with Dr Smith after treatment for spinal issue. After a very short conversation it was clear he was totally familiar with my issue, condition, and current treatment. I had 100% confidence in his direction. I’d definitely go to him in the future with sound al issues.

I explained that I no relief with steroid injection and the pain was mostly neuropathy in my foot tingling, numbness and pain.

After Dr. Adamson’s retirement I was referred to Dr. Smith. I had been a patient of Dr. Adamson for years and he did my most recent ACDF surgery in January 2024. I was nervous being under another doctors care. Dr. Smith was wonderful! He took time to answer questions I have had regarding my post surgical (minor) issues. He explained what to expect going forward in the months ahead. He did not rush me, was very kind, and I am grateful to have been referred to Dr. Smith.
After the retirement of Tim Adamson Dr Smith took over my spine management. His assessment was brief and thorough. He recommended fresh imaging to insure no changes were present and agreed that further evaluation and discussion was warranted prior to action to treat disc damage.
Very thorough and explained the options I had. Would definitely recommend.
