I recently had a need for Dr. Watkins’ services. I’ve not had much surgery, the last being 23 years ago with the birth of my son. He is a kind, patient and knowledgeable physician. I’ve never felt rushed and he has always taken the time to make sure all my questions were answered. His office staff is great as well especially his nurse Sarah who is very patient and tolerated multiple calls from me regarding paperwork. She is very efficient and gets it done quickly. Dr Watkins performed my parathyroidectomy this past week. On my initial surgical consult Dr.Watkins explained to me in detail what the function of the PTH glands were and drew out a full diagram of the thyroid and the procedures during surgery, testing and recovery. I had a nodule on one of my glands. Went thru surgery, woke up and was told only 1 gland needed removal and my calcium levels were normal shortly after removal. Dr. Watkins is an incredible surgeon. He began by drawing detailed pix, covering every detail, pros and cons. I was on the table for about 6 hours for thyroid and parathyroudsctomies. After care by him and his staff wonderful!
Had bad surgical experience with this physician. Still having issues from procedures that was performed. I WOULD NOT recommend him to anyone. Very in experienced.
Took the time to explain why I had something other than what my PT said I had. Very knowledgeable and yelpful!
