I saw Dr. Newman this morning as a follow-up visit. The last time I saw him he told me I have prostate cancer. Today he entered the examining one hour after my scheduled appointment. What is better than getting a letter in the mail saying I need to be tested for diseases because my Dr reused needles during my prostate biopsy !!! I know it’s been over 10 years ago but it doesn’t matter how many new groups you join , I will always remember what you did !Nobody should have a letter like that ! My husband has been a patient of Dr. Newman for over 7 years now. Late 2019 my husband's prostate cancer came back. Dr. Newman suggested that my husband should do the HIFU treatment since he couldn't 't repeat radiation therapy. It has been over a year since the HIFU treatment and my husband's PSA was reduced and remains at zero. Both of us are thankful for Dr. Newman's dedicated and caring treatment of my husband. Dr. Newman performed the preparation for radiation treatment of prostate cancer, including insertion of gold marks and a SpaceOAR. I was a bit nervous, but Dr. Newman and his assistant chatted with me during the short procedure and kept me calm. There was a little discomfort afterward, and he asked how I was doing and waited a couple minutes for the discomfort to wain. My radiation therapy went well. I highly recommend Dr. Newman.
On Oct. 10, 2019, I took my husband to Dr Lawrence Newman's office at 3:30pm for his appt to remove his catheter. Dr Newman did not remove the catheter and did not do anything. He told me to come back in a week and he will do cystoscopy of the urinary bladder. Without doing anything, I paid my co pay. The front desk scheduled another appt for my husband on Oct 22, 2019. I was suffering with urinary problems when I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Newman. After a series of tests he diagnosed my problem. He arranged surgery for me and solved my problems. I have complete confidence in Dr. Newman. He has taken very good care of me over the years
I do not normally write reviews for doctors. Reason being is that I feel it can take years of care to feel confidence and compassion from a provider. I am writing this review for Dr. Lawrence Newman because he honestly saved not only my physical but emotional well being. I have a long history of chronic ie; infections bladder/kidney with horrible retention. I called today 11/4/19 and was refused an appointment! I was told that I need a referral from my Primary Care Doctor because I have Medicare. However, Original Medicare does not need referrals. It consists of Medicare Part A hospital insurance and Medicare Part B Medical Insurance, and beneficiaries can select any doctor that accepts Medicare payments.
