I'm 66 years old. I've seen a lot of docs in my time and this has got to be the worse excuse for a doctor that I've ever seen.
Expect to wait hours for this doctor. Expect to be seen by someone who has no interpersonal skills and doesn’t leave me feeling she is battling for or with me for me being the healthiest individual I can be.
She truly cares for her patients. I dont care what these other reviews say. Yeah you have to wait but that's with any doctors appointment. Plus there's only one other neurologist in the county so she stays busy. She's truly the best. Hands down.
Doctor and staff very unprofessional. Hang out right outside treatment room gossiping and talking about patients, and you can hear everything clearly. Always have to wait at least 2 or 3 hours. Does not really listen to concerns or suggest alternate treatment when medications are not helping. History of licensure complaints.
Dr Kooistra seems very good, but the office staff is the worst I've ever experienced. They are rude, they don't answer the phone, they don't respond to voice mails, they schedule patients so that every patient waits a minimum of 90 minutes before seeing the doc. The Office staff refuses to help with the simplest of requests. Listen to them say, "Don't expect any response in 24 hours". That is horrible customer service. Horrible.
Dr. Kooistra is extremely intelligent. She will spend whatever time necessary to find the best treatment plan tailored specifically for you. She truly is the best...and not just around here. Spartanburg is so lucky to have her.
