I think that the NP Stephanie Russell was excellent. I went in for something on my nose. I got a full body exam as well as treatment and after treatment check. Decided I needed to try a cream for residual cancer on my nose and it’s clearing up. During my exam she found one suspicious spot thought basal cell on my back. Liked Dr Silvers when she first opened her ithaca office. She and her staff were very good. Over the years, things changed. Different staff, everyone seemed too rushed and overstretched. Then she upped and moved her office to Horseheads without notifying her patients (or at least this patient)!!! I have been trying to have my records transferred to my current dermatologist without success! Even the new dermatologist hasn’t been able to obtain them. Would not recommend!

Hereditary skin condition largely unknown ..dr silvers took the time to investigate . She is a blessing.

cold, impersonal, critical....incompetent...misdiagnosed a red spot on face as Rosacea..a second opinion said it was ""nothing of the kind" it was a variation of my psoriasis". this person had better leave the medical profession and get a clerical job somewhere...among all the other negatives, inept at diagnosing correctly. do NOT choose this one! has no business calling herself a doctor.

I am satisfied with Dr. Silvers. Doctors in general make me nervous, but she and her staff work to help me feel comfortable by answering questions and explaining procedures. I take a list of my questions with me, and she makes sure that they are all answered.

This area desperately needs more health services. It took three months to get an appointment. This physician was knowledgeable, but rushed. The appointment lasted under 20 minutes and I had to call the office because not after-care instructions were given. My insurance was billed incorrectly due to a misspelling in my name. The billing is outsourced and the billing agency was good to work with, but had I not questioned the issue, my bill would have been substantially larger.

I was a patient for several years after my previous Dr. moved out of Ithaca. Initially I was unimpressed but as time went on, my appts. seemed less rushed. The key: have your questions ready (written) and don't let her leave until you're comfortable and done; but this holds true for most any Dr. My biggest complaint is not knowing she moved out of Ithaca, to Horseheads, until I received my reminder phone call. One would think her patients would have received a letter. I've changed Dr.s.
