Dr Peterson is the best Dr. I had him remove my mesh and fix my hernia in July 2018. I have to say that I owe this man my life. The whole experience was amazing. I want to thank Dr Peterson for his absolute love for people!!! I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs any type of hernia repair.
This Doctor is a fraud plain and simple. Contact real people that have had their mesh removed by him and find out from them directly their experience. I have not found one person that has had a good outcome after mesh removal. I have talked to more than 20 people directly not online and none of them have had a good result. Some of them feel better right after surgery but once a few weeks or months have gone by they start to realize the long term nerve pain that happens when nerves are damaged
Dr. Petersen and his staff believed me as to how bad I felt and why when no one else would. They helped me when no one else would. I needed the prolene sutures used in my previous hernia repairs (by another surgeon who abandoned me) removed. Dr. Petersen put me back on the road to healing, and I am truly grateful!
If it weren't for Dr. Petersen my husband would still be in severe pain. Dr. Petersen was able to skillfully remove the mesh that was placed in him for a hernia where other doctors did not want to touch it. He was kind and understanding and very skillful. When I found Kevin Petersen's website, I read through it, researched many hours re: mesh, questioned others who had mesh/no-mesh surgery, talked with Dr. Petersen by phone. I drove down with my daughter 02/06/18, had consult/labs on the 7th, surgery the 8th, saw Dr. Petersen the 9th before driving home the 10th. I feel fantastic and am healing well. My advice to those reading this please do your own research, follow the post op instructions!! My cost: 1000.00/insurance reimbursed 4200.00.
I had three hernias repaired 1 a left iniguial. Luckily I had no issues with that one. The right side I had an iniguial and a sliding femoral hernia repaired. From the first day I knew something was wrong. After many doctors and many tests my family doctor found Dr. Peterson and shared the info with me. One month later Dr. Peterson removed and repaired my hernia without mesh. After recovery I have been pain free since then. Thank you Dr. Peterson!
I have been a patient of NIS and Dr. Petersen since 2013. The service and level of care he provides is beyond measure. He is always accessible to his patients post procedure (I had an emergency once, and he returned my call in the middle of the night during Christmas) There are many options for private health care, but for this and many other reasons, there is only one choice for me...Dr. Kevin Petersen.
After years of dealing with the toxicity and pain related to my mesh implant, and feeling fearful of working with any more doctors, I am so very glad I decided to take a chance on Dr. Petersen. I am 6 weeks post-op after having my umbilical hernia mesh removed, and the hernia repaired properly. I'm so thrilled with how much better I feel! Dr. Petersen and his staff have been so helpful and supportive, and I finally have faith that there truly are doctors that care and actually heal!
Well he knows no matter what, he isn't liable for any damages because he is only "trying to fix someone elses Handy work."He knows there's a mesh problem and a market for removal. He will scare you into removal the same way they scared you into getting mesh. It's the same psychology. When he tells you that" if you've been having pain after 3 months you should get it out" ask yourself if that sounds right to go through a 2-3 year torturous recovery? You're going to think that mesh wasn't so bad.
