horrible doctor im 14 and every time i go to him he makes me feel like im back in kindergarten he knows hes smarter then most people and likes to show it in a very rude manner every time i leave i feel bad about myself like im not normal for having depression i ask my mom to change my doctor but we cant because its to hard to find another DR who works with teens...

Dr. Sonnechein was very rude and condescending during our first two visits. He spoke down to me and my son, and did not like answering questions from either of us. I am now in the position of needing to get my son's medication refilled and have been avoiding going back because I anticipate it will be an unpleasant experience. I would love to simply switch providers but it takes so long to get in to see a psychiatrist I feel like I am stuck with the Dr for now. Overall, not a good experience.

This doctor seems to have a great deal of academic knowledge about his field. The problem is, he is not good with small children or teenagers. He does not greet us in a friendly way or try to break the ice- just goes right in to lecture mode. He actually asked my 6 year old what the data means to him. He has toys hidden, but acts annoyed if my child asks to use them. Considering my child's normal level of activity, he really tries to behave in the office, but is constantly corrected by the doctor. They had offensive biased news on TV everytime I visited the office. I actually had to shut the TV off on one visit because I was so offended. No music at all, just white noise. The receptionist were very friendly. My first few visits with the doctor went farily well, after that all down hill. He did not understand the difficulties of special needs children. Was there annoying music playing while you waited or during your visit? No, there was no annoying music Did you feel judged or criticized by this psychiatrist? Kind of, I didn't feel like they were completely accepting Did you leave the office feeling satisfied with your visit? Not satisfied, but not unhappy Did this provider prominently display their diplomas or business license? Yes Did this provider seem well-trained and experienced? Yes, they seemed very qualified

Does this psychiatrist promptly return your phone calls? Yes Was this provider late to your appointments? Sometimes, it was a little frustrating Does this provider remember you and your circumstances at every appointment? Yes Was it easy to make an appointment with this provider? I waited longer than I wanted to, but it wasn't terrible

Absolutely! I'm confident they will work hard to find the best solution for me How would you compare this psychiatrist to others in his/her field that you have visited? Among the best I have seen

They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. They gave me sufficient information to make a decision about my treatment plan. It wasn’t difficult to get an appointment with them at all. It was nice to be able to get in right away.
