I called to make an appointment for pain I was experiencing Dr Perego called me back and had me come to his office immediately. He has always showed compassion and concern for my diagnosis. I highly recommend Perego for all you Urology needs!
Dr. Perego is very thorough and exercises patience in making sure he finds the cause of any issues then systematically comes up with a plan to fix it. He explains thoroughly everything he’s doing. I was in a bad place healthwise with no hope of a long life and my quality of life was poor. Dr. Perego identified all my issues and told me we were going to fix them. Dr Perigo visited our church and I met him there as my wife works at the hospital and knew him. A few months later I went to see him for urination problems, frequent trips and unable to empty. He did the scope and told me, showed me the problem and said a TURP would correct it. He explained in detail what it was and what to expect. I thought about it for a month and. Decided to do it. Spent 1.5 hours in a literally overflowing waiting room while I was indoctrinated by ABC news the entire time. During the visit I voiced a concern and was in no kind way informed that I would be wearing a catheter all my life if I didn't follow his advice. Have no been back since and never will be...

Dr Perigo told me I needed urodynamics testing regularly. This is a test to confirm that the bladder and urethra are functioning properly. I am a quadriplegic with a super public catheter precisely because there is no chance my bladder and urethra will function properly barring a miraculous act of God. How does someone like this get through medical school?
My husband is a poor historian and has some mild to moderate memory loss, so I am the spokesperson. While I was trying to explain some of the difficulties he was having, Dr. Perego held up his hand (you know, show me the hand), so, a little shocked, I stopped talking. Dr Perego has been my Doctor for years. I prefer him over all other urologist.
I would not recommend this doctor. He pushed me to get a procedure done called Urolift that another urologist said wasn't necessary. I had severe complications and 3 trips to the emergency room. Another urologist had to perform emergency surgery to correct the problem. The emergency room and myself couldn't reach Dr. Perego when I was in trouble.
