About this business

I really pay attention to my patients. I’m really interested in what their goals are, and I try to be very honest whether it’s achievable, or how close we can get to what they want. I’m very direct, and I try to make my patients comfortable by educating them the best I can. The more involved they are in the process, and the more engaged they are, the happier they will be with the results.

Dr. Chen performed a mommy makeover for me about 10 months ago. She did a wonderful job and I am very happy with the results of her work. She is a friendly person, although her bedside manner isn't as warm as it could be. However, that has nothing to do with her skill level, which is very high. I'd much prefer a competent and talented surgeon over a incompetent, friendly one. I would definitely use her again.

I went in to see about a breast reduction. I didn’t expect to be fat shamed, and treated rudely by Dr Chen because she didn’t like my weight. I couldn’t believe how rude she was and demeaning. While she was doing her exam, she was rough, and made some rude comments about my body. There are plenty of surgeons, and when you are spending so much money go to another one with care and doesn’t treat you with dis respect like Dr Chen does.

My aunt went in for an hematoma she got because of an accident in 2015. Dr. Chen told her she was fat to lose weight to come and see in for weight loss surgery but made sure to tell her Medicare wont cover it so would be out of pocket. My aunt went in for help not be weight shammed, she talked over her, wouldn't let sit down to put her pants on, made fun of her because she couldn't get up without help. just because she's heavier than the doctor would like doesn't mean she no longer is a human being who needed help. This is u... read more

It took me years to be able to tell my story. She traumatized me. I’m a BRAC1 and decided to remove my breast. I found Dr. Chen, went to my consultation and all the plan sounded good. My surgery was going to be in two faces: 1st a breast surgeon would remove all my breast tissue and prepared it so 2nd Dr Chen could insert an expander that after 2 weeks of my surgery, Dr Chen would start injecting a saline solution little by little (every 2 weeks) so my skin recovered from the tissue removal trauma and I could go in a second ... read more

I met with Dr Chen today via telehealth for my initial consultation. I found her to be very attentive, receptive to questions, friendly and sensitive to my personal needs. She came highly recommended and I plan to use her to fix my post breast cancer reconstruction complications.

I was nervous after reading a negative review, but upon meeting Dr. Chen and her staff I felt she was the right doctor for my lift. She was very realistic about what surgery could and could not do for me, and respected my strong feelings about synthetic injections. Each procedure was explained in detail. Dr. Chen is a perfectionist—and even the nurse in recovery said she would use her if she ever needed plastic surgery. I am very happy with both my results and the follow up of Dr. Chen and her wonderful staff. No regrets.

I agree with these other one star reviews. Dr. Chen has a terrible bedside manner - cold and condescending. She almost had me in tears in the pre-op room. Although she removed my breast implants en bloc as requested, the reduction in areola size gave me wavy uneven scars all the way around my areolas. She was willing to fix it in her office (not the OR) for $2,000. No thank you!

Horrible experience with this doctor and her office. Waited months to get into see her. Showed up to my appointment 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Was put in an exam room where I waited 90 minutes before I walked out. Never saw the doctor, was never given an update or told she was running late. Just got the overall feeling from the entire office that I wasn't worth their time. i've had other elective plastic surgery procedures. So I'm not new to the process.
