Terrible period
I was referred to Dr. Julia Kahan for a possibly fractured bone in my foot. This was a few years ago & I can't remember all the details, unfortunately. However, I saw her late in the day - I was probably her last patient of the day - & i had the sense that she was in hurry & did not want to deal with me. She looked at my foot & declared I couldn't have a fracture, & sent me away with no direction about what else to do. Later I had an x-ray & it turned out I did have a fracture. Dr Kahan did bi-lateral chevron and aiken osteotomies, left foot 3/22/18, right foot 6/28/18. Right foot is usable, but right foot is a whole different story. I'll spare the gory details. In a nutshell, I now walk on the 4 small toes of my right foot. The compression staple on the aiken osteotomy failed and my big toe is still bent as it was originally- only now it's much closer to the other toes.
