Dr Irwin will gladly take your $300 for an exam but she does not know the rules And regulations used by VA, and the VA representative that ‘advises her’ does not understand the regulations required by VA for a clear and concise exam for rating purposes. If you ask for a clarification for her exam to prevent you from having to attend another VA exam she will refuse. As a partner to one of Dr. Irwin' s patients I have to say she us absolutely wonderful.
I have been seeing Dr Irwin for 10 yrs. She is always available. Over the years she has become someone I trust. I trust her judgement. She has saved my life.
Dr Irwin has taking care of me for almost 20 years. She is very compassionate about what she does and about her patients she will fight tooth and nail for them. I've always felt safe in her care and she has rescued me in a few times quite a few actually. If you're looking for a psychiatrist she's the best.
Dr Irwin’s practice is outstanding! The best mental health clinic in Norman and one of the best in the OKC metro. I have known Dr Irwin’s nurse practioner, Nicole, for many years, since she was a psych RN, and she’s an outstanding provider and person. I have been a patient of Dr. Julia Irwin from 2005 until 2016 and can honestly say that she listens attentively and offers excellent advice, coping strategies, and viable steps towards handling my problems. She has basically saved my life period. In fact I was looking up her office phone number to make a new appointment when I came across this review page. I am sorry to see the negative reviews here and don't believe that those people ever really knew Dr. Irwin. I am very satisfied with the
Dr. Irwin is brilliant and stays up with current research. She had good ideas to manage my treatment resistant diagnoses. However, her office policies are unreasonably strict and authoritarian. If you are late for one appointment, you are fired. The reason or intention does not seem to matter. This is not patient-centered care, and it breaks any trust that has been built between provider and patient. Recommend looking elsewhere for mental health care that includes compassion and a human approach
Dr. Irwin's nurse practitioners and physician's assistants are very kind, understanding and empathetic. They helped me reach the correct diagnosis after being misdiagnosed for more than a decade by another psychiatrist. I would give 10 stars if I could.
Dr. Irwin has helped change my life. I didnt know I was suffering from PTSD but she helped put a name to it. I have seen her ever since and she always takes time to find out what my current status is and treats accordingly
