I was absolutely astonished by his way of practice. Horrible bedside manner but to top it off, i took my 3 month old daughter in for a reflux issue, he then, without explaining what he was going to do, asking me if i was okay with it, literally nothing, stuck his finger up my daughters rectum to collect a stool sample. Gave me no explanation, or other options. This stool sample was not absolutely needed, nor did we have major concerns of blood in the stool - mind you it came out negative anyways. I would have MUCH rather had... read more
I've experienced similar if not the same things as I'm reading in the reviews. He looked at his computer as if it would give him an answer to my child's problem. The staff was not as bad as the reviews I've seen, but I can see where they are coming from. I need a team not someone to belittle me when they don't know what is wrong.
Often waited almost an hour. Would not make eye contact. Looked at computer most of the time. Kept prescribing Mirilax and telling me I didn’t give my didn’t enough fiber. We’ve been dealing with this for years so I know I was feeding my son enough fiber. The Mirilax just made the poop stain his pants but nothing came out. I was a solution not a bandaid.
He is a great dr. And has really helped us with our son. He listens to what i wants for my son and what is going on. Then communicates really well. Best gi dr ever.
If this survey gave me an option to give zero stars, I would. The receptionist was rude, and the patient care staff is completely lacking of patience, sympathy, or understanding. The doctor didn't listen to anything and diagnosed my son before even walking in. We were originally told my insurance covered formula, only to be told by pediatric connections it does not, and this office refused to call us back. We've left messages, my pediatrician has called, and pediatric connection...still nothing.
Dr. Villalona has been amazing for our daughter. He has worked with us to find the best feeding approach for her due to her allergies and has helped her reach consistent weight gain. Dr. Villalona is extremely patient and makes sure you understand what is happening and how to best help your child. His nurses and office staff are sweet and professional.
I recently took my son to see Dr. Villalona and was very discouraged with the overall outcome of the appointment. The receptionist was very unorganized, the office manager wouldn't help with any questions due to lack of information, the nurse was abrupt and had a "I don't care" attitude. The doctor finally came into the room and did not listen to anything I said about my son and did nothing for him and was in the room a total of 5 minutes. I will never go back and would never recommended him.
We love the doctor but the office recptionist is the worse person. She should not work with the public. She is very ride epically since working in pediatric office . we will not go back.
Concientious, kind, very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. Appropriately conservative. His entire office staff very friendly, compassionate and very knowledgeable. My son is now in remission. We have been with Dr. Villalona 2.5 yrs
