I have had a very good experience with Dr. Grau and his assistant, Connie — both are caring and compassionate. Dr. Grau is very punctual as well. Psychiatry is different from a lot of other fields of medicine — there's no MRI or lab test to point to a diagnosis, so it often takes patience and some trial and error to find what works. Dr. Grau listens carefully before deciding on a treatment approach. He doesn't provide psychotherapy himself, but he's thorough in managing medication and monitoring how patients respond. Poor attention to details of history, incorrect documentation in the medical record, failed to send concerns for critical drug interactions to PCP, neurologist, and pharmacy. I cannot recommend this physician to others.

WOW! I can't believe all the negative reviews about Dr Grau! I've had a totally opposite experience with him. I started seeing him in 2012 and was amazed at how quickly he got my Bipolar Disorder under control. He knew EXACTLY what medicines to give me (which he started one at a time instead if drugging me up and not knowing what was working and what was not).He is an excellent diagnostic psychiatrist!!
