I absolutely HATE going to a dentist and a root canal is beyond that! I was sent to him and was in total denial that I needed to have a root canal but he spent time going over my scan and showed me in detail why I needed it. ugh! I so did NOT want to go! I asked for gas and made him promise to keep me numb in case I felt it. He was SO NICE! I still was gripping the chair but it did not hurt and I could hear his voice above the gas very calm and reassuring..
