I was sent by the VA and he only saw me once and staff never called to have a follow up for neck surgery. I have called and nothing. No one answers. I've had two friends that have had neck surgery and they did not have good results. He had my friend take an xray of the implant in neck and he had the nerve to tell my friend that it was his fault for it being crooked. He doesn't want to fix his mistake. Took 2 months to see Dr Dones. Had appt scheduled for 01-09. They supposedly called me on 01.04 to reschedule for the 5th but my phone went to VM and the mailbox was full. WRONG!!!!! Receptionist didn’t bother asking to reschedule. Made it sound like it was my fault!
Dr Dones is a very good doctor , sometimes the visit is quick but to the point which is understandable since there are about 8 neurosurgeons to cover the whole valley. His treatment plan worked for me and his staff is great
Do not use this Doctor the VA schedules you and they will call you a day before your appointment and will reschedule you. When you tell them you have already requested the sick leave. They responded to me he is a doctor his time is important. Which means my time is not, and I have to wait till he wants to see me. DO NOT USE HIM.
I had surgery with another Nuero Surgeon in the Valley which basically left me worse then before surgery. Dr. Dones helped me reach a satisfactory quality of life that I didn't think I'd ever reach again. Also felt comfortable since he is also a veteran.
I can't believe you wait 1hour for a rude 5 minutes with this person I made friends with the 15 hurting people waiting with me sitting on the hardest chairs I have ever set on. I tried to make their wait as best I could but two people said they couldn't sit in pain any longer and left.my nurse tried to apologize for him just walking out of the room when he said he didn't think he could help me.
It was disappointing to feel so rushed and I felt ridiculed for asking questions. I do not feel confidence in this person.
I was very uncomfortable with his manner and his urgency to do thr most invasive surgery. He was also very impatient with my questions so NO WAY
After being treated very poorl by Dr. Dones-Vasquez, I met two of his prior patients by the grace of God and they warned me to go somewhere else due to their botched surgeries.
