I was not prepared for what the procedure would entail, the amount of pain I would experience or any physician pre-procedure information,. I was required to have an MRI and saw the physician for two very short "consults" prior to the date of the injection. I yelled for him to stop after the first injection of numbing medication. He did not stop. I refused the second part of the procedure and left the office after my left foot regained feeling so I could stand and walk. Poor, poor service.
Excellent surgeon-2 spinal fusions (2013 & 2017). Love his staff too. However, I would NEVER return to Carmel St. Vincent hospital where my 2nd fusion was done. The first fusion was at West 86th Street St. Vincent- great experience.
I had suffered from excruciating back pain for months and was referred to Dr Renkens for surgery. He was highly recommended by my pain specialist. He and his entire team were very professional and made me feel at ease. As soon as I woke up the horrible pain I had suffered was gone. My recovery was quick without any complications. I would not hesitate to recommend him, his excellent assistant Jennifer Turner and a very supportive team to anyone with back problems. If needed, I would do it again.
Dr. Vitto is a great doctor. He has a positive, friendly attitude. It is obvious he enjoys helping people feel better.
I had lower back surgery on a disk and continued to have pain that was affecting work and home life. Looked for solutions with three different back surgeons with no solutions in site. Dr. Vitto focused on the problem area and quickly went to work on a solution. The final solution was a Radio Frequency procedure that allowed me to go from not standing more than 20min to jogging and working out pain free. Dr. Vitto is dedicated to his patients and to finding a solution that can work for you.
After several years of chronic back pain due to a herniated disc, I visited Dr. Vitto last year. Now, after an MRI and a few visits I am pain free. I used to struggle at work due to the pain and now I have zero issues at my job. I would recommend Dr. Vitto and his friendly staff to anyone wanting to correct the daily pain experienced from back problems.
I cannot share enough positive words about the care and help Dr. Renkens provided for me. From the moment I walked into the Indiana Spine Center, I felt confident that I was in the correct place and in the best hands. Dr. Renkens took ample time to answer my questions and I felt very informed and certain of our plan. I would recommend Dr. Renkens with my highest approval and encouragement. OUTSTANDING CARE!
I was literally bent over and could not walk upright, He got me going again, and is the ONLY person I trust for spinal injections having others mess me up to the point of paraplegic and he brought me back in the game.
Dr Vitto and his staff are excellent. They really care about their patients.
