I saw Dr. Ticker 4 times for a shoulder problem that eventually was diagnosed as frozen shoulder. Initially, the doctor did a basic exam & ordered PT & told me to take advil. He was less attentive and talked "at me" at each subsequent visit, as it became clear that my condition was not improving. He ordered a medication for pain that was contraindicated due to my family history, and when I reported I didn't take the medication due to the warnings included on the medication paperwork, he was extremely dismissive of my concern... read more

Dr. Ticker surgically repaired my right rotator cuff and cleaned up my shoulder in June 2020. From my first appointment with him, he was polite and informative and patiently answered all of my questions. I have since regained full range of motion and am pain free. My experience has been only positive and I wouldn't hesitate to seek out his expertise if needed again. Thank you Dr. Ticker.
I went to a Dr before Dr. Ticker and was diagnosed with weight lifter's shoulder / broken off end of my clavicle. It was extremely painful. I couldn't even hit the blinker in my car. I went to Dr. Ticker for a second opinion. He was very nice, straight forward, and, knowledgeable. I went forward with the shoulder surgery. It was scheduled very quickly so I didn't have to suffer much longer. I followed his post-op instructions to a T. And I have healed 100%. It's like night and day.

The best! Extremely professional with a sense of humor to help alleviate your anxiety. I had rotator cuff surgery Oct. 2019. He used a block & I had no pain for 4 days. He explained everything before the surgery & showed me exactly what he was going to do. By showing me pictures & articles that he authored lessened the anxiety. You wouldn’t know I had any surgery. Dr. Ticker was my” second opinion” Did not rush me into surgery . Actually he recommended pt prior, to full Rotator cuff and other repair surgery. Which, like he said would render a better recovery. It did. It’s about 4-1/2 months post surgery, best my range of motion has been in over 1 year! He’s written the books! Teaches. He “is” the shoulder guy!
The rudest unhelpful sarcastic doctor I have ever been to. Basically took my mri and emg and didn’t want to help or explain in detail what was wrong told me the tear in my shoulder was unrepairable and nothing could be done and to come back in six weeks To stop by and say hello. Rude rude rude and a complete jerk who used medical terminology without explaining to patient
