Dr A used to be kind and welcoming. Recently, he has become cold and distant, and even harsh. He has said cruel things as assumptions that are based off of our interactions over a few years ago, and he has begun to get defensive and frustrating to deal with. He may state something kind, but hide budding animosity underneath. Then, when it is too much, he becomes harsh. He does not set boundaries clearly, and if a client steps over a boundary unknowingly, he will lash out. I hope he finds the help he needs.
I've been seeing Dr. Aronowitz since 2017. I first met him during a deep depression following a complete breakdown. Luckily I had an excellent therapist at the time that kept me in good shape until I was able to see him. He is extremely kind, caring, and considerate of your thoughts when coming up with your treatment plan. It's been 4 years and I can't imagine seeing another psychiatrist!
After visiting this practice for the past 30 years, I felt it was appropriate to give my thoughts on the office. Lorraine, the office manager, has been a consummate professional for all of these years that I have been going to the practice. I have also recommended the practice to many friends and the feedback that I have received about Lorraine was tremendous! Dr Aronowitz is incredible. I never feel rushed during our appointment. He is very understanding and intuitive. And his demeanor is very welcoming and comforting. I'm saddened to read a review regarding the office staff Lorraine that portrays her in such a negative way. Any interaction I have ever had with her has been easy and pleasant. She is accommodating of all patient needs and is always willing to help.
Dr. Aronowitz and his staff (Lorraine) are exceptionally great at what they do. Lorraine is very respectful and professional with a will to please every patient. She is extremely prompt with getting back to me to schedule my next appointment at my convenience. I also have the pleasure of talking to Lorraine when I get to my appointment early. Dr Aronowitzs admin Lorraine is nothing short of an Angel. she is so understanding and so helpful with all of my health and personal needs. She is a compassionate and dedicated woman that always puts the needs of patients first! I highly recommend Dr Aronowitz. Dr. Aronowitz is a caring, kind professional. I have been his patient for many years and am very pleased with his office. Contact his admin, Lorraine, who promptly answers your questions in a professional, courteous manner. They are wonderful.
I have to say being a single parent with a child who is diagnosed with ADHD and ODD could not have found a better doctor and assistant in Lorraine. Lorraine at the front desk gave all of her time and effort to assist me and calm my worries while my son was in session.
Dr. Aronowitz is a sensitive, caring doctor. He is attentive and is analytically astute. I feel cared about and protected. His staff person, Lorraine, is the best. I’ve know her for eight years, and I have never had a problem with her or this doctor. Both the doctor and his staff person, Lorraine, are flexible with scheduling and truly care about the patients. You can trust my judgment. This is the best doctor’s office on Staten Island.
