Dr. Naitoh has been my urologist for nearly 20 years. I hold him in the highest level of esteem. He has saved my life from prostate cancer. Dr. Naitoh is very factual and very research oriented in providing care. These are qualities that I value. He involves patients in making decisions for their care. My prostate cancer has literally been a moving target. As he says, he has many arrows in his quiver to manage my issues. And manage issues, he has. Due to Dr. Naitoh's great care, I have been able to maintain a high quality of... read more

The absolute worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. After surgery made no attempt to help me with pain meds while I climbed the wall in agony for over 5 hours. I wouldn’t let this dr operate on my hamster.

I saw Dr Nitoh the first time 10 years ago for something that turned out to be nothing. I really liked him and when i found my self needing him again I had no problems getting appoinment and the care was a good as I remembered. I just had to relocate and Dr Nitoh is going o be hard to replace.

Referred to Dr Naitoh by oncologist, Dr Frakes. I also consulted with his counterpart at UCSD. I chose to stay with Dr Naitoh because he was (1) most thorough in his physical exam, (2) explained his findings well (including showing me MRI results on a screen), (3) answered all my questions, (4) was more of a scientist in not arriving to conclusions before a biopsy and (5) had a gentle bedside manner. The UCSD counterpart did none of the above, walked in and said "you have kidney cancer."

I was not satisfied with Dr. Naitoh's care. I saw him once. One reason was fertility so he ordered a sperm test. My specific complaint is that upon receiving my sample from the lab, no one called or sent me a detailed review of my sample. Instead, I received a prepared postcard in the mail that stated simply "(printed) This is to inform you that your (and in handwriting) Semen Analysis was OK" Followed by a check next to the doctor's name. Apparently he and 5 other doctors use this card.....

Jodie from Dr. Naitohs office needs to learn how to speak with other offices in regards to patient care, VERY rude.

Dr. Naitoh is condescending and thinks all patients are dumbfounded. All he really cares about is how to make more money for himself and his office. Unfortunately, I really want to explain to him about my urological problems. A doctor is supposedly there, for I thought, to calm down the patient and tell them they're going to be fine. Not with this doctor. I am still feeling the lingering effects of his demeanor to the point of emotional distress. Highly unrecommended.
