As colleagues in a large practice we were able to work together to bring the most advanced, latest skill sets to the patient . Excellent doctor. Very knowledgeable about his fiels.
After meeting with Dr. Oliver Benton and being told he was out of town the next week, Dr. John Smith performed my surgery to remove 6x4 mm kidney stone. Dr. Smith was so helpful and informed me to stay away from tea, chocolate, cranberries and to have spinach with cheese (not alone). I am following his advice and am so grateful he was able to do my surgery. I had a stone attack on February 6 and the stone had turned and lodged itself right before the bladder. very personable and a great physician
Dr. Smith is very knowledgeable about areas such as IC, pelvic floor issues in women, and treatment for menopausal sequelae. He was attentive and understanding while maintaining professionalism.
I have been going to Dr. Smith since 2005, when he came down south from Massachusetts General. This was then at Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem NC. Have followed him to Novant where he is today. This man has led me through some darkest days when I acquired a 5 in a million rare auto-immune disease that marches through your organs and tries to destroy them. I had one appointment with Dr Smith. He cursed several times, acted agitated with me, told me he has “had a BAD day!” He then closed his computer, rolled back from the desk and walked out. He was highly recommended then gave ZERO help. My family and I left disappointed with no help offered. I have been diagnosed with IC which is why I went to him for this appointment. Anyone can have a bad day, we all do. It is my hope that Dr Smith continues to help his patients and I find a Urologist who can help me.
Great urologist! Would highly recommend, he is great at getting to the bottom of complicated cases. Very caring and great personality.
