It seems like half of my neighborhood see's Dr. Schnorr for fertility problems and they all rave about him. His next available appointment was a little longer than the other doctors but it was definitely worth it. He read my records and knew my history before I arrived. We spent over an hour with him. He focused in on my progesterone defect and thinks by periods are too short. Planning on doing simple things to fix it after some blood work. I really trust him and his nurse Lina.
The doctor is running a business first and foremost, so if you as a patient conflict with their ability to generate maximum profits, you'll find yourself in a tough spot. Dr. Schorr's office (Coastal Fertility Specialists) was providing critical IVF monitoring to us during our IVF cycle, but left us without any medical care mid-cycle. Though they advertise Saturday hours to support such monitoring (because IVF isn't a M-F affair after all), they had no problem cancelling our appointment on the Friday prior, attempting instea... read more
Business response:
As a courtesy to other fertility centers and their patients we are happy to provide monitoring services for non Coastal Fertility patients during routine business hours. Our Mount Pleasant office is open 363 days a year and our other offices are open Monday thru Friday. You requested monitoring on a day our Lexington office was closed. We would have been happy to see you in our Mount Pleasant office and are glad you found someone locally for your monitoring.
Such an upbeat positive person to have on your side. We have been to another specialist before we came to Coastal. We had heard the other name for years and how good it was but when we ended up there we very upset. We figured out that Dr. Schnorr and Dr. Slowey had split from the other practice and they were obviously the success behind it. They started their own practice, Coastal Fertility, in 2012. So thankful to have found Coastal and Dr. Schnorr.
Kind, compassionate and always knew me and my journey. I could not recommend anyone more.
My wife just had an egg retrieval by Dr. Schnorr after having a cycle cancelled due to immature eggs by another doctor. The medications he use helped make it so she didn't get sick which is amazing because our friend in Atlanta just got really sick and hospitalized from making the same number of eggs. Dr. Schnorr was amazing at every visit. Always knew what he was doing and answered our questions before we even asked them. We frozen our embryos before transfer and are not pregnant yet but have 10 frozen embryos and feel grea... read more
Five stars to Dr. Schnoor and his whole team. The coastal team is a bright, upbeat spot in the midst of an infertility journey that can be depressing. I have now been sent off to the OB and frankly was sad leaving Dr. Schnoor….
Very disappointed in this place. I am a medical professional so I hate to put down other medical professionals but I have to be honest I really feel like this place will treat you great if you plan on spending a lot of money. At the end of all my testing I was told the results of all my testing over the phone because he was to busy at MUSC so I got to cry inbetween seeing my patients. I thought he was just going to tell me the results of my hsg so I was taken off guard. They could not find anything wrong with me but still tr... read more
A friend recommended Dr. Schnorr after I had two failed IVF cycles in Charleston. Dr. Schnorr said my lower number of eggs could be improved with testosterone and said I should freeze all of my eggs for genetic testing before the transfer. We went for it and it worked! I also have one frozen embryo. We also loved working with Monique and Kristin. Their group is really incredible.
From day 1 Dr. Schnorr put together a plan that was methodical and well laid out. x-ray, blood work, sperm check then IUI treatment. I conceived in the 2nd cycle and now have twins. Off to my OB. Yahoo. He’s awesome.
