I was referred to Dr Hunn from my regular OBGYN for a hysterectomy work up. After years of infertility, rounds of IVF, none successful, and different medications it seems like a hysterectomy is needed. From my first meeting with Dr. Hunn in June till my post op appt. in September she was always very professional and friendly. Procedures were clearly explained to me and I felt she was truly concerned about my well being. If the need ever came up I would certainly go back to Dr. Hunn .
I have struggled with infertility for years. I have polyps that grow in my uterus that need to be removed every so often so we can start a family. My fertility doctor recommended me to go to Dr Hunn for this hysteroscopy surgery and I did do it with her twice and had no problems. This last summer I scheduled the same surgery with her and it turned out to be a nightmare. Dr. Hunn's care quite literally saved my life. When Cov!d was at it's height, I was tenderly cared for when other providers weren't. Her expertise was demonstrated in the OR when the initial plan was set aside and she was able to discover a much larger, weighter issue. Her collaboration with other doctors was demonstrated as she was able to connect me with other doctors, and yet has followed my case for nearly four years. Highly recommend!
Today I had a pre-op appointment with Dr. Hunn in St. George, UT. I found her be professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and reassuring. She immediately put any fears to rest and created an environment of care and trust.
Dr. Hunn is amazing! She makes me feel comfortable and is very caring.
Dr. Hunn is a good surgeon but has poor patient relation skills. There are few words that can explain her more accurately then cold, if you expect a warm, caring person to handle your medical care I would suggest finding a different provider.
Some of Dr. Hunn’s glowing reviews are either misleading, or she’s grown callous over the years. Time will tell if my surgery went well or not, but during our office visits she was curt and condescending. My neighbor who had the same surgery from Hunn generously described her as “prickly”. I thought that prickly was good enough for me as long as she’s a good surgeon, but I wish I had found someone else. Major surgery for any reason is hard to deal with and heal from. Your surgeon shouldn’t add to the trauma.
