My interest in medicine goes back to high school. In medical school, I became fascinated with the human musculoskeletal system, particularly the anatomy and intricacies of our hands and upper extremities. Most of us take our hands for granted until we are injured and unable to perform the most basic functions, most of which require manual dexterity. It gives me great pleasure to remove the pain and restore full function to someone who has suffered a hand or wrist injury

I received excellent care from Dr. Kummer and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking excellent care and emphatic treatment. I was seen within 1 day of my injury and surgery within a matter of days. She even went out of her way to do my surgery at a location she usually does not use, because of my medical limitations. My recovery has been outstanding and she has shared my enthusiasm for my quick recovery.
Erroneous billing - Received an $8,000 bill from her surgical assistant (3X the surgeon bill) after previously being given a quote from her of zero dollars. This was for a small outpatient procedure. Called many times, left voice mails - no response at all.

Dr. Jennifer Kummer's mission is to deliver the highest standard of care. Her entire team works hard to ensure the proper care and treatment is received by every patient. On occasion this care requires the use of a surgical assistant. The surgical assistants are responsible for their own billing and it is not under the control of Dr. Kummer or her practice. I have been seeing Dr. Kummer for the last 4 years for hand injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis issues. She provides a comprehensive exam of the symptoms and explains options for treatment. I have had excellent results with treatments and surgery.
She spend 5 minutes with me and referred me to PT. She was not interested in listening my symptoms.
Dr. Kummer is my superhero! She gave me an opportunity to regain the use of a badly curved finger from a condition called Dupuytren's. My scarring was minimal and I can do things that I hadn't been able to for a long time. I recommend Dr.Kummer and her staff to anyone considering her for their concerns. I fully understood everything about my procedure from the surgery through the last physical therapy and my followup appointments. She gave me my fingers back... she's Awesome!
Dr. Kummer recommended and performed surgery on my wrist due to a ruptured scapho-lunate ligament and resulting arthritis. I did not get the outcome I expected. The wrist is now more painful than before surgery, and my range of motion is limited. Very disappointing; I would not recommend this surgery.
Competent, patient, caring doctor. She has treated me several times surgically and non-surgically, and I don't hesitate to return for treatment. She explains the details well so you understand the treatment and can make informed choices.
