About this business

My interest in medicine goes back to high school. In medical school, I became fascinated with the human musculoskeletal system, particularly the anatomy and intricacies of our hands and upper extremities. Most of us take our hands for granted until we are injured and unable to perform the most basic functions, most of which require manual dexterity. It gives me great pleasure to remove the pain and restore full function to someone who has suffered a hand or wrist injury

Dr Kummer is just another Dr who wants to get you in and out of the office as fast as possible. She brought me into office for multiple unnecessary visits just to charge more in addition to giving me a single unnecessary procedure that hurt my injury worse. Later on I was billed triple for that procedure on items she DID NOT do. The billing team is no help to dispute anything and allows this to happen. Dr’s should be helping patients, not making them go into debt and extend their injuries

Dr. Kummer was amazing. She knew exactly what was wrong, did the surgery, and post-op always cared about how I was doing. This is about eight years later and now the other hand needs the same surgery. I am definitely going to see her. She is wonderful and skilled.

My daughter hurt her thumb/wrist. To be honest, I didn't think it was serious, but after a few days I decided to take her in. A friend recommended Dr. Kummer, who graciously scheduled an initial appointment the day after my phone call. The appointment went smoothly, with x-rays, evaluation, and splinting all taking place quickly, with a wonderful staff. Dr. Kummer was incredibly professional, while at the same time she was terrific with my daughter (age 10). Highly recommended.

My daughter hurt her arm on the playground and we were able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Kummer based on a referral. After checking her arm with a through exam and an x-ray, we discovered she has a significant stress fracture. Dr. Kummer took the time to talk to my little girl asking questions, explaining what happened, making her very comfortable. Dr. Kummer and her staff even offered her some crazy cast designs and colors making it seem not so bad. She was very thorough on the following exams and her arm healed perf... read more

I recently had an injury where I fell and immediately noticed pain in my ring finger and pinky. I went into my primary care where she ordered some x-rays that came back normal. She said to follow up in a week and recommended Dr. Kummer. This doctor appointment was one of the most frustrating I’ve had yet. She glossed over all the issues I mentioned and refused to give X-ray my fingers to rule out a fracture. She spent a total of maybe 5 minutes in the room and didn’t address any of my concerns.

Dr. Kummer and her staff, particularly Chris, set the standard all care-givers should seek for both the outcome and communication.

I received excellent care from Dr. Kummer. She did a trigger finger release on my index finger and I immediately felt relief after my surgery. I have recommended Dr. Kummer to my friends and family and they would all agree that she provides great care.

Dr. Kummer stepped up in a big way to help my husband. He had broken his wrist in a fall, had another surgeon put a plate in and was told the reason it hurt was that now he had arthritis. Dr. Kummer ordered several tests that confirmed that he was suffering from a bone infection. She performed surgery to remove the infection and damaged (deteriorated) bones. Then she contacted an infectious disease specialist who put my husband on a picc line for 6 weeks. He is doing great now!

Dr. Kummer did an amazing job removing a lipoma in my forearm. My scar is very small and healed nicely! I have recommended and will continue to recommend Dr. Kummer to my family and friends for their hand, wrist, and forearm issues.
