I was told I would have to have a driver to my appointment. All the texts I took was explain to me clearly. All my questions were answered. I felt confident and relieved for my next appointment.
Dr. Rapkin is one of the most caring, responsive and professional physicians. He took such good care of my mother when she had a very complicated issue. We appreciate him more than he knows! Thank you Dr. Rapkin!
He saved my eye. He explained what happened to me so I could understand him. The only change I would make would be for them to tell you that you need a driver ahead of time.
First impression is the office need to be updated with a fan to move air around. It smells musky and very dark . The person that schedules appointments didn't check with someone so my appoint had to be rescheduled so a wasted day. We showed up and for the first time in my life I felt like I was being talked to like a child. The doctor is arrogant with no bedside manner. I will go to Indy or father before I go back to see him. I'm just wondering if some of the people who wrote these unfavorable reviews go to the same Dr Jeffrey Rapkin my husband & I do??? This man is so very knowledgeable & explaines everything so well. He makes sure you understand what is going to happen everytime. His staff is very caring and explains all proceedures very well. So very happy that he was recommended to us by our optometrist. He has done so much for both of us. We trust him completely. We drive from Ohio to recieve his excellent care
Never. Was NOT told prior to appointment I'd need a driver and my eyes would be dilated. They didn't care. Saw several people with same problem having appointments,cancelled due to this. Staff very unfriendly and Dr. Very abrupt. I was not comfortable nor did I feel any trust. Patient's comfort NOT a priority.
He's a complete .... with no bedside manor. I'm a veteran with anxiety and he had no patience with me treated me like a 5year old all because I couldn't keep one eye open. It's 2nd time I'm there for same issue and it's still not resolved. I'd rather deal with the metal in my eye than see him again
I had an eye problem for the last couple of months. Dr. Rapkin got me in right away and he very helpful and nice. His staff is outstanding, kind and made me feel very relaxed when I was nervous. Dr. Rapkin did a good job explaining what was going on with my eyes and answered all of mine and my husbands questions. I will recommend him to my friends and family.
My brother was transported by ambulance from Ball Hospital to see Rapkin on a Sunday. Dr. Rapkin was extremely upset that my brother, who was in a hospital gown, didn't have his insurance card (it was at the hodpital). Dr. wanted to know how he was going to be paid. After lecturing the paramedics about bringing people over without payment information he turned my brother away untreated. He had to be transported to Indianapolis to see a specialist as a result. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
