I hope he has retired as he totally misdiagnosed me twice, once I was properly diagnosed by another GI (6 plus total weeks of hospitalization during the misdiagnosis), I found out I had EPI, so don't think he is a pancreatic expert. My advice, run. I would give him minus stars but I have to choose one for this to post.
The guy is great, he put me on the right medication and solved my problem quickly
He is an excellent Dr. He was recommended to me and he was great. Explained everything to me and I felt that I was well taken care of. I trust him.
Dr. Crist always seem in another place. When I was in the hospital I would ask him questions his response I don't let me look at your chart and sometimes he would not come back. Having liver issues I should of been checked for Hep C, which he never. A year later with a second opinion that is what caused my liver issues.
Dr Crist was far more interested in shooting the breeze than in addressing healthcare concerns during office visits. I don't really know if he's a good doctor or not in terms of his medical knowledge, he never explained anything to me in office or in the hospital. The most egregious problem from my perspective was that I could tell that he had led the staff in making fun of me while I was under anesthesia. I could hear them laughing in the next room while they thought I was still under.
Saw Dr Crist for a routine colonastomy. Spent time with me. answered all my questions. Easy going. Office very good. Had problem getting the discount on the purge medicine. They called pharmacy and got it straightened out. Had procedure done at Park West. They were super. PS Picked Dr Crist using infoemation/reviews from this site.
I have seen him several times. Very efficient and thorough with a great bedside manner.
