Dr. Pierson replaced my right knee in 2008. I had surgery on Monday and left the hospital on Wednesday with no cain or walker. I returned to work in 3 weeks. Now 6 years later I still have no problems. I feel that was my best decision in choosing Dr. Pierson.
I also had a replacement after a two year old knee failed(another doctor) Mine was complicated by tendon ligament damage and a completely split and separated knee cap.. he did a complete rebuild and a new joint. I got a mersa infection and that lead to 3 more surgeries and 2 courses of IV antibiotics, Dr Pierson was with me all the way and now 7 years later the knee is good as new. Wonderful surgeon and a great person to know.
Dr. Pierson literally gave me my quality of life back. Another orthopedic surgeon had replaced my right hip and a few years later I could barely walk.....that physician then did a revision which resulted in complications in a few years. Dr. Pierson has performed two very successful surgeries on me: a left hip replacement after a successful 23 year old artificial left hip. The second replacement is over 15 years old now and just as successful as the first. Also, a right knee replacement two years after the first one was a total failure (done by another surgeon.) It is now 15 years old and has been a total success. Not only is Dr. Pierson a very skilled surgeon. His bedside and office manner is very warm, personal and caring. He's tops in my book!
