Dr. Jay Patel knows what he is doing when it comes to surgery, and that was my main concern. His staff helped me with documentation and questions I had about other peripheral issues. Overall a solid 5 star experience for my total hip replacement.
I'm a nurse and have also been a patient many times. The care I received at Hoag Orthopedic Institute and surgery by Dr. Jay Patel were the best. He's the absolute best.
Good doctor with absolutely the worst and unprofessional back office and support staff. Medical staff are not available to answer calls, when messages are left for them they call back without a clue as what the initial message was about, made several mistakes or delays in sending prescriptions to my pharmacy, did not coordinate between the doctor’s office and the hospital staff resulting in duplicate and confusing pre-op testing and or guidelines, could not schedule post-op visits even in cases of severe pain and discomfort.... read more
