I was a private pay patient. Treated poorly by doctor; met him one time for 10 mins; that's IT. His PA is junior, not the level of service i was looking for. On the day of surgery he didn't come in to see how i was doing before or after the procedure. Never even called that evening like good doctors usually do . I was treated like cattle; get in and get out. I could barely walk and i was told to leave the ambulatory center and go home (who does that after such surgery?) Does not listen to your symptoms after surgery. I was private pay and almost died. All he told me was I was dehydrated (diagnosed that over the phone) did not come to the ER once to see me. I was there 3 times at St. Vincent East ! Told me no other doctor would see me because I was a recent sleeve patient. Well I found one that did and am alive today NO THANKS TO LONG!! Spend your money somewhere else. He's ok if your insurance is paying because they have guidelines he must follow. Private pay patients a different story.
The front office staff very nice and professional. Dr. Jay was very informative about the procedure and friendly. He showed concern regarding a previous surgery. He is also knowledgeable about how other procedures should be done.
Dr. Long did surgery on me in 2013 and I was so satisfied with no complications, and unable to see the surgery site. Now I have chosen him for my Bariatric surgery. He informed me on what I needed to do and how to do it to be successful with my surgery.
Dr Long took his time to explain in details and discuss other options. I was so nervous to visit for the first time. But after meeting Dr Long, and the patience shown. I felt good and was able to ask many questions. I literally left the office smiling..
My sister and I drove from Murfreesboro Tennessee for procedure with Dr. Long. We have received exceptional care since the 1st day we called. The entire staff has been friendly, informative informative, helpful and encouraging. Because of doctor long and his staff, we we are looking forward to an exceptional fashional surgery day and can't wait to our surgery in the morning. We left his office after our pre-op visit with no doubts, no concerns, and no worries. This has been a great experience.
