Dr. Terk is an excellent doctor. No he does not "sugarcoat" to make you feel better, but he is one of the best doctor's out there. If you want a doctor who will make you feel better about everything and give your child constant meds, this is not your doctor. If you want a true diagnosis for your child and the best treatment options this is your doctor. The staff is wonderful and we have never had a problem getting an appointment when our child was ill. Dr. Terk quickly diagnosed my daughter with a disease that is often misdiagnosed or sometimes takes months or years to get a correct diagnosis. He has always been the most conscientious doctor I know. He speaks easily and frankly with both me and my 2 children. He is an extremely helpful, knowledgable, and caring physician. His personal nurses are also very helpful and will go over and above to help his patients. After seeing Dr. Terk numerous times over the past year, I had to ask myself why I was so anxious before my daughters appointments... and why I always left his office with a bad feeling in my gut. The answer is because of way he makes you feel as a parent. He makes faces during his consult showing his approval, or lack of, and often I felt like he was inappropriately flirtatious. I'm changing doctors.
We feel very comfortable with Dr. Terk. As well as getting input from me he asks my child questions directly and really listens to answers. Dr. Terk is concerned about the whole child, both physical and emotional. I found him knowledgeable but matter of fact which is fine by me. He takes as much time as you need. He is very thorough. Highly recommend. For those that are critical of him, I would look hard at yourselves.
Doctor Terk is incredibly rude. He treated my husband and me like we were completely stupid and not fit to be parents. His bedside manner is terrible!
Awful bedside manner. Dr. Terk the Jerk is motto of his bedside manner. Why is it so hard to find doctors with a decent personality? Do they not teach that in med school?
This doctor has treated all 3 of my children since we moved to Keller about 10 years ago. He is the best! I feel fortunate to have found him.
Best Doctor I have ever met and will always be straight forward with you for the benefit of your child.
Dr. Terk and his staff are amazing. We have been using him for 8 yrs now. We can always get an appointment when the kids need one.
