Dr Umlas performed cataract surgery on both my extremely myopic eyes. He was beyond exceptional in the time he invested helping me to select the best lenses and configuration (extended depth of field lenses, in my case, with minor mono vision strategy) to give me the best outcome possible. His surgery skills are also superb. He listens carefully to what a patient is prioritizing and is both empathetic and reassuring - before, during, and in the aftermath of surgery. Dr Umlas provided a very thorough exam and explanation of my condition --- I absolutely left the appointment feeling confident with his diagnosis. He also spent ample time explaining options along with the pros/cons of each. I am extremely pleased with my entire experience/appointment at Lexington Eye and I highly recommend Dr Umlas.
