Dr. Malinoff is a true professional and helped me transition from 100mcg/hr Fentanyl patch every 48 hours since 2004 for severe chronic pain to 8/2 Suboxone...It was a difficult transition for me, however I was in hospital for 4-5 days and the good Doctor and medical staff took excellent care of me. I am so glad I transitioned to Suboxone and have been on it for 17 months...It manages my chronic pain and I am grateful to Dr. Malinoff, Elizabeth his NP, and all the kind, caring people working in his Ypsilanti, MI clinic and w... read more

Dr. Malinoff should have his license revoked for the fraudulent claims he made on my patient profile. He listed at LEAST 3 FRAUDULENT diagnosis codes; ALCOHOL ABUSE, OPIOID ABUSE and FIBROMYALGIA. He then had the audacity to debate me and threatened to kick me out when I tried to dispute these fraudulent claims at checkout!!! Fraud fraud fraud!!! Dr. HERBERT L MALINOFF is a scam artist and thinks that every patient is an addict! I MISTAKENLY went to his office after thinking they practiced pain management, but BOY, was I wro... read more

This doctor is awful! He is demeaning! Only my second office visit and I am never going back. I failed to read an article he ask me to and this set off a series of rude comments. I never got a straight answer to any of my questions. I did however learn how well-established he is as a doctor and his 40 plus certificate s. I am on heavy drugs I am trying to get off of due to a car accident 4.5 yrs ago. The pain I am experiencing is very severe and he totally disregarded where I was at in my recovery and just wanted to transiti... read more

My opinion is that he is one of those doctors that thinks he knows everything about you and everything else and doesn’t like it if you tell him he’s not right. He is very hard to talk to because he does almost all the talking and you barely have a chance to get a word in. Not to mention that you feel rushed through your appointment. I always believed that a doctor’s best tool is his ears. Not here. I’m sure there have been some people who like him, but from our experience, he is one of those doctors that you might be better ... read more

This guy is like Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde.He totally disrespected me and sent me home sicker than a dog and then refused to speak to me. He actually screamed at me, "Well, take some ambien then!" and slammed down the phone. I was horrible sick and didn't,know where to turn. I was able to find 2 wonderful docs who have taken over my care and I am on the road to recovery. I am 65 years old & have had many docs, surgeries an hospitalization s. I' ve never encountered anyone as toxic as Malinoff. I would encourage others to think ca... read more

The staff at Pain Recovery Solution are in serious need of people/human relation skills training. As stated by others, they are often irritable, short and down right rude. However, this should not come as a surprise being that the founder and president, Dr. Herbert Malinoff has set this very tone. Although he is one of the most qualified and distinguished care givers in his field, his ability to create an positive atmosphere;especially as it pertains to his patients specific needs, are lacking terribly. He can at times be ex... read more

Dr. Malinoff was wonderful! Helped me get off prescription drugs from a recent surgery. I can't say enough good things about him. His office staff is terrible. They are all very rude - if you are a few minutes late to your appointment they tell you they are going to charge you $50.00 and the Dr. won't be able to see you. They are also very nasty on the phone. It's hard to believe a Dr. as pleasant as Dr. Malinoff has such a terrible staff. I'm certain he doesn't realize how they are acting to patients because he would never ... read more

Dr. Malinoff was caring, patient and also made me feel important. I was a tiny bit worried from a couple negative posts, but my Mom and I were very pleased with his care.
