I found the younger office girl to be extremely rude. She did not ONCE acknowledge anyone that was waiting or arriving as she was too busy scrolling through her phone and rolling her eyes at people. She seemed bothered to be at work and I felt like I was bothering her as I waited for 15 minutes for an appointment. We waited for over an hour and a half to see Dr Vandenberg and he did not examine my child, although he stated that he did in his report. Wait time in lobby is very long, the Doctor spends about 5 minutes with patient constantly writing the whole time, never take any vital signs or weigh, but is quick to increase the dosage of your meds. The staffers are not friendly at all.
Was quick to diagnose bipolar disorder, with no apparent reason, many years ago. He also prescribed topamax for off label use. Came very, very, near to overdosing with his "supervision". I would NEVER recommend this man to anyone, especially anyone with good insurance. He will find something to keep you coming back.
Dr. Vandenberg is good, but his staff does not do their jobs. They will not answer faxes, and your prescriptions may not get filled for over a week. I think he needs to spend more one on one time with his patients. Not come in, say hi, talk to them for two minutes, and then send them on their way. Pshych patients need this. They also need their meds, so why do his staffers drag their feet. I have to rate them as poor!
