He is the only doctor there, so it takes time to get in and see him. Just enjoy the break while waiting and remember he is trying his best with the amount people he has to see. He might comment on something that can upset you, but remember he is a Doctor and wants to help you. He’s just very honest when it comes to things about your health, so if your feelings are hurt easy find someone else. He gives great tips if you listen. Finding the correct medicine can be hard for anyone, often increasing doses then changing medicatio... read more

I'd rather give 0 stars. We went the first time and I requested to be seen without my mom or brother. He diagnosed me with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. And he made many comments about my weight. The second time, my mom was unable to come, and he made way too many comments about my weight, such as "You need to eat less, It's why you look the way you do." He was very unprofessional.

First, he sees siblings together. When we walked in for our initial visit, his staff started to seat us in one room. I have a 12 yo son and a 14 yo daughter. They weren't comfortable with being in the room with the other while having a psych eval. I requested being seen separately, and the staff accommodated us. For the second visit, I was not there, however, and he put them together. No 14 year old girl diagnosed with depression and anxiety wants to talk to a doctor with her little brother present. My biggest issue is how h... read more

Our appointment was scheduled for 9:30am, but waited a little over an hour to see the doctor. He asked his questions, filled in a report that was previously used for another child (he just changed information to pertain to my granddaughter) and prescribed her medicine. I did not agree with one of the prescriptions, so that will not be given. Then when I asked for a copy of the report for my own files, I had to pay $20 for the copy. The receptionist with the accent was very snippy, but lightened up right before we left. The o... read more

My brother has a traumatic brain injury and was seen by this doctor for anger issues. He was very quick to label him as bipolar and all prescriptions he wrote caused dizziness. I do not believe he knew or tried to find out any history on my brother’s disabilities which are neurological in nature. Any complaint by my brother only resulted in dosage increases and he already suffered from unstableness due to his brain injury. I would not recommend seeing this doctor for any reason unless you enjoy being a zombie. He doesn’t des... read more

When I was 16, I visited Dr. Vandenberg for severe chronic depression. I was very much in crisis. He came into our meeting and told me that I looked terrible, that my clothes were disheveled, and asked, "How old are you? 16? You look 26." He told me to get my act together. He laughed at me. I didn't know at the time that I didn't deserve that kind of treatment. It really hurt my self esteem and confirmed my own negative self talk. Please, please do not send your children here.

If possible to give no stars, I would. Nothing about this place is good. Staff is rude. Dr. spends no time listening to patients, Just prescribes medication without really knowing the patients problems. Billing is a joke. They can't read and understand an EOB. Dr. prescribed medication for my daughter that is normally used for adults. Each time I tried to explain to him that she was having serious complications, he increased the dose.

I found the younger office girl to be extremely rude. She did not ONCE acknowledge anyone that was waiting or arriving as she was too busy scrolling through her phone and rolling her eyes at people. She seemed bothered to be at work and I felt like I was bothering her as I waited for 15 minutes for an appointment. We waited for over an hour and a half to see Dr Vandenberg and he did not examine my child, although he stated that he did in his report. He also made statements in his report that were never discussed or asked. I ... read more
