Dr. Helen is a wonderful doctor! She really cares about her patients, and will tell you the truth
Dr Yang is the best doctor I've ever had. She treats me with kindness and respect. Her knowledge and expertise help her to thoroughly investigate before making a diagnosis. Her experience helps her treat me with not only prescription medication, but also home remedies when appropriate.
She reviews my labs every three months, in detail. Has been supportive during urgent needs. Answers email. Recommended supplements when needed. We did telemed throughout the pandemic. Always helpful.
Very disappointing experience. Not professional and poor communication. Had to transfer to another doctor.
Dr. Yang always took sufficient time to go over my labwork, and she patiently explained the best treatment options. She also has a wonderful bedside manner. Yes, sometimes the front staff was less than perfect, but that would not diminish my rating: she operates in a tightly regulated environment and on a tight budget. Note to the critical patients: Dr. Yang is the **only** MD in Chapel Hill who takes insurance, AND advises patients on the use of herbs and supplements. So her job is probably not easy.
Dr Yang used to be a wonderful doctor. She has seen me, my family and many friends for over 15 years now. She hasn’t been offering the Chinese medicine that was the core reason we started with her many years ago and instead just orders labs, encouraging you to go to the LabCorp office she rents space to inside her clinic where there is the most unfriendly and unkind person drawing blood that I’ve ever dealt with. Unhappy patient
Dr. Yang saw our daughter a minor skin condition. We were charged over $700 for 5 office visits and $1500 for blood work. She never mentioned the cost of blood work and we were shocked to receive the bill two months later. I have never heard of $1500 for blood work without making patients aware of the cost. After $2300 worth of bills and 5 office visits, the condition was not resolved. The dermatologists dealt with the problem in one visit no pills necessary. Stay away.
I've been seeing Dr. Helen Yang for 3 yrs. She is one of the few Board-Certified doctors in the area who combines natural medicine with conventional treatment. Medications can have serious side effects (I'm a cancer survivor - I know) and this doctor understands that. You have a choice.
