I had a bad experience with Dr. Hu on billing. She is in network with my insurance company and my insurance told me that I have a $15 copay for 10 sessions covered each year in my current insurance. When I met with Dr. Hu, she told me to file a insurance claim myself and asked me to pay $415 out of pocket. I did with my credit card. While I was trying to file a claim myself, I was told by my insurance that my claim will be denied because she is in network with my insurance company and the only two options are: 1. Dr. Helen Hu is an extremely knowledgeable and caring practitioner of acupuncture. In addition, she has an extensive range of information about Chinese herbal remedies and she takes the time to explain about her treatments and answer your questions. She suggest recipes, teas and herbal supplements that could be helpful. Dr. Hu really cares about her patients. I highly recommend her.
Back in 2010 I was 9 months pregnant and miserable, nearly past my due date. My doula suggested I go see Dr. Hu for acupuncture to help induce labor. Dr. Hu at first recommended 1 session a day for 3 days in a row. After the 2nd session she told me not to make an appointment for the next day because she was pretty sure the baby would come before then. I kid you not, my daughter was born at midnight that night.
