Dr Shea has been my doctor for more than 15 years. She has kept my bloodwork stable, is kind, and incredibly professional. Don't be fooled by her eyes primarily focused on the computer. She's listening.
Dr. Shea has terrible bedside manner. I will never see her again.
I've been trying to schedule a follow up appointment for my daughter. Its totally impossible to contact the doctor via phone. Every time I tried calling, I get the message: your call is 'very important to us', but it reality its not. I've wasted a lot of time out of my and my daughter's busy schedule to try to schedule an appointment. No one replies to my messages either. My daughter's profile was blocked from me to see and now I can only see billing information. I'm her mom and I have a right to see her medical history. I w... read more
We took our daughter to visit Shea and she didn't say two words to our daughter, who is 12. I've had veterinarians with better patient involvement. From the outset Shea seemed displeased with our presence and we should have probably just left, but thought it worth staying since her qualifications seemed like she stayed up on research. After being told that she would redo bloodwork already done by the PCP, she said there was nothing she could do to help if the thyroid was being 'attacked' by our daughter's body, but there was... read more
We appreciate Dr. Shea being our son’s Doctor. We have been under her care for several years now. She is kind, thorough and explains things to us in a way that we all understand. My son is thriving and we owe it to the care they provide at this office! Thanks! The Rowlands
Incredibly frustrated and disheartened after my appointment with Doctor Shea. Not only did I wait for nearly 90 minutes to be seen, she seemed irritated that I didn’t know anything about the disease with which she had barely diagnosed me — most unfeelingly, might I add. She was visibly mad that I would ask questions about a disease I’ve never heard of but will have for the rest of my life. I hard cried all the way home. Definitely will not be back.
This review is more about the gatekeepers than the actual doctors. I called a month ago when I received my referral to these doctors. My son is being seen for a very rare and hard to diagnose cancer. Only one associate in their office has experience with it but the office staff will not speak to her about my son. They refuse to see him because he is not two years older than he is now. I didn't know cancer had age limitations... The Plano office is the only location with a doctor who will see my son, but before they see him t... read more
I enjoyed meeting Dr. Shea because I felt like someone understood finally why I was feeling the way that I did. And I appreciate her one step at a time approach of "let's get this piece working, then we focus on the next." The only think that I didn't like was I felt like her PA was trying to push a weight loss program that wasn't focused for my specific needs vs letting me meet with the nutritionist and working on a plan (which was what I was told initially I could do).
