Dr Harold Yaffe makes me smile!!! I have had an extreme dental phobia since childhood. When I moved to philly for grad school my field instructor referred me to Dr. Yaffe...and I haven't left. Dr Yaffe is a committed professional who sees the whole person, not just a set of teeth. Thanks to him, his colleague Dr. Paul Berson, and an incredibly talented and compassionate staff I have been able to get beyond my fears and get the treatment I have needed. I have been a patient for 35 years and Dr. Yaffe has been the BEST. I have individual caps on all of my teeth and get many compliments on my smile. Many of my caps are over 30 years old and are still wonderful. I would recommend his dentistry to everyone. I also have a phobia about pain and discomfort and I have never been in pain or discomfort. I have gone to Dr. Y for nearly 20 years (!!) and he is a wonderful dentist. My teeth are in great shape thanks to him. My only less than excellent response has to do with the porcelin veneers he recently did for me. I have had all sorts of problems with them (chipping & breaking) and while they looked pretty good at first, now I am not so pleased. I am worried that they will not last, and at $1000 each, this is pretty upsetting, especially as the repaired veneers do not look as good as they did at first. Other than this one... read more
