After a total of six visits with Dr. Marwah since January 2007, I am convinced that I was possibly misdiagnosed and overcharged for services. My first and last appointment lasted no longer than 15 minutes with her. (Is it possible to properly diagnose someone in 15 minutes?) The additional appointments to follow-up on medication lasted from 5 to 10 minutes, yet I was consistently charged the $90 fee for each appointment.
Both her staff and the doctor at this facility are very rude. If they are treating people with physicological problems, I dont see how they can treat them like garbage.
She is very knowledgable and compassionate! However, she will hold you accountable and she is very persistent. Her style works though, she has given me great care for 5 years!
She gives a good effort to learn about the circumstances I deal with in spite of 15 minute format of med managment appt. She also is advocate of cognitive talk therapy, rather than solely a "proponent" of pharmacology. I would give a five on knowledge based solely on her application of her training, however I feel that for me there is often some communication limitation due to fact that her own formative years were spent in a different culture.
Got very upset when I stopped a medication because I felt so strange on it and told me she would have to refer me to someone else. I told her as a patient I know my body and if I feel what is happening is scaring me I have the right to stop. She also charged me for a "Individual therapy with meds" session instead of a "meds" session which is a lot less expensive. I was in her office for 20 minutes and I was charged 90.00$ instead of the 55.00 which I feel is more than enough for what we talked about and how long I was actual... read more
Has really helped me a lot. Really listens and spends time with me, talks straight.
He told me to read a list of books that I didn't have time to read and wouldn't really talk to me about anything until I did. I stopped seeing him and continued to fee the same - just with more money in my pocket.
Very kind, competent, and not too hard to get an appointment with.
