Dr. Schenk was amazing! He walked both myself and wife through every step of the prostrate removal. He actually delayed his vacation to do my surgery and contacted me every day to see how I was feeling while he was away. His bedside manner and expertise are 5 star!
Dr. Schenk is an outstanding physician and surgeon! My prostatectomy went without a hitch and my recovery time was minimal. I knew what to expect every step of the way, felt I was in great hands at all times, and have had no issues whatsoever since the surgery. As a bonus, Dr. Schenk has a great bedside manner. In fact I got a personal call from him when I had an unrelated medical problem that he'd randomly heard about. This caring manner filters down to his staff, whom are a pleasure.
Dr. Schenk treated my prostate cancer by removing the prostate via a robotic procedure. I cannot recommend him more highly. He was very attentive and extremely professional each step of the way. In fact, when an unrelated problem was discovered during the surgery, he went the extra mile to ensure that was corrected as well. The diagnosis was disturbing to say the least, but it was incredibly comforting to be in such good hands.
Dr. Scheck was my prostate cancer surgeon and he was excellent in all aspects of my care and treatment. He fully explained to my wife and I my condition and the possible treatments. He fully encouraged me to talk with other Doctors and do research into treatment options. He was very professional at all times and his office staff were all professional and friendly. I have the highest level of confidence in his care and he made himself available to me at all times before and after my surgery.
Dr. Schenk spent a tremendous amount of time explaining all the options I had available for my prostate cancer. I went to 2 other facilities including Johns Hopkins. In the end I choose Dr. Schenk because I felt he truly cared about his patients and would provide the individualized care I was seeking. The surgery was a complete success with no lasting side effects. He is a very skilled surgeon and I would highly recommend him.
