I think Dr. Zarrabi truly cares about her patients. She listens well. However, she is an overprescriber. My cognition decreased to the point that I could no longer read a book, do basic math, remember something said two sentences ago, solve problems, and I was also substituting incorrect words when I talked. Becoming that stupid was THE most terrifying event of my life. I lost my self-confidence and was very dependent on others. Three neurologists told me I was on too many medications, and I told Dr. Zarrabi that I was going... read more
UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCARING. This is suppose to be a place to help people with mental illness and all they care about is making money. The staff is rude and incompetent and charges you for services you never had. The staff tells you that you are covered by insurance when you are not. I called a few times and got a different answer each time I called including from Ginger. The PA Thomas Bale does not care about you and does not understand medications for depression and anxiety. The website is much better than the people who a... read more
Avoid this place at all costs. They are completely incompetent. They screwed up my medications, billing, and appointments. I would arrive for a counseling appointment early and by the time the therapist was done the patient scheduled right after me had already shown up. One time I got 'bumped' and went home without seeing anyone. Recently, they sent me a bill out of nowhere claiming I owed a deductible, which wasn't true. Apparently I'm not the only one. If you aren't suicidal before coming here, you will be after the way yo... read more
I don't know where to even begin... Dr. Zarrabi, somehow, would forget what we had said at our previous appointments every single time. She suggested I go on Viibryd, despite the fact that she should've known fully well that I had already tried it and it was the worst 2 weeks of my life. She also suggested I go on a different medication, again "forgetting" the fact that we tried that already and it didn't work. I don't even have enough characters left to talk about how awful my experience was...
I love my psychiatrist Dr. Zarrabi and therapist Dr. Shenasi! I would recommend this place highly. I like the staff, the wait time is short, I get my refills on time and they take my insurance. It is very busy and they have a lot of patients so sometimes it can get a bit hectic in the waiting room. As far as medication management they know what they're doing. I feel like I got on the right medication right away. Highly recommended.
Yeah, I just had to find another establishment to do my business with. I don't have any personal experience with Dr. Zarrabi but if her front office is any reflection of the care I would have received then I would stay away from her medical practice (Harbor Psychiatry & Mental Health). In my opinion, a lot of the medical staff is on a revolving door process (they come into work and eventually move on to other endeavors). The place just felt like a purgatory for psychiatrists.
My problem is not so much with Dr. Zarrabi but more with her staff. I see one of her nurse practitioners. Today my appointment was canceled an hour before. I’ve been counting down until my appointment bc I’ve had worsening panic attacks. I am out of Xanax (which is not supposed to be stopped cold turkey) as of this morning which was fine bc I was supposed to get a refill today. The office ***** suggested I go the the ER. A few weeks ago I showed up for my appointment and my NP wasn’t there!!!!!
HORRIBLY administered. I desperately needed help for my depression and the moment I called I was greeted with a cold staff. "Currently not accepting new patients." This is not college admissions. Do your job. You're not exclusive.
Dr. Zarrabi's incompetent office staff along with her neglect during a time I needed for her to just call in an order for my medication directly caused me to not only go to the ER because she never got back to me; but also caused me to be physically ill for more than 6 months. After going to several ER's and specialists, finally i learned I was suffering from Cymbalta Syndrome. All of this could have been avoided if she cared enough to call in a prescription
