Wonderful caring doctor! Listens patiently to your concerns and always responds in a knowledgeable understanding manner. I would highly recommend him!!!!
Dr. Chiao was dismissive, demeaning and wouldn’t listen to a word I said. After being misdiagnosed by him and seriously ill, I went to another GI. I found his staff to be dismissive, rude and unhelpful as well.
I drove 6 hours roundtrip to be seen by Dr. Chiao and have a colonoscopy. Entire procedure went very well. I and my family will be continuing to do so in the coming years.
Dr. Ciao is excellent! He's thorough and professional in every way. Was seriously impressed with him -impressed that he went over extensively my last colonoscopy report from my other doctor. The colonoscopy/EGD with Dr Ciao went very smooth, even smoother, more comfortable than the last two I've had with other GI docs. Then not only do I get a personal call from Dr. Ciao the evening of my colonoscopy to see how I am doing, but he called me two days later to go over the pathology report with me.
I thought so highly of Dr. Chiao and his staff that i recommended him to 3 other people. He is very thorough, spent as much time as needed to answer each and every question that i had, called me on a Sunday night to discuss results and he is humble. I honestly felt like i was his only patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Chaio! I will be back to see him in 5 years..
Dr. Chiao is one of the best doctors I've ever met. He is very sincere and compassionate and also very knowledgeable in his field. He is very easy to talk to and actually cares about his patients. He listens and takes time to answer all your questions, always returns calls, even after hours. I highly recommend him!
Does not put himself in patients’ shoes. I have absolutely no faith in his course of action. My GI is out of town so I’m stuck with Chiao. He is not following what my GI would do, because he has not taken the time to listen me. He comes off pompous and arrogant. I wish he would listen to his patients to better understand what has worked for them in the past. Having suffered from a chronic illness for a couple years now, I know what I need. Clear liquid diets are not humane after 48 hours!
Dr. Chiao is the best doctor of gastroenterology doctors I have ever seen. He is very knowledgeable and patient. With his detailed explanations, I felt very comfortable. I have already done EGD and colonoscopy twice with him and I definitely will see him for my next procedure.
I had preventative colonoscopy and was quite nervous about the procedure and the prep. I delayed and delayed to go through with it.. However Dr. Chiao made me feel so comfortable, explained everything and took time to answer all my questions. Next time, if he is still working there in 5 years, I won't be worried at all.
