During the office visit, I choose not to have the TURP surgery recommended by another urologist because of the high probability of sexual dysfunction. I considered the prostatic urethral lift as an alternative for my enlarged prostate which was causing me to get up 4-5 times at night to empty my bladder resulting in a fitful sleep. According to Bandi, he had performed over 300 prostatic urethral lift surgeries with a 97% success rate with minimal risk for erection dysfunction. Based on this information, I went ahead with the... read more
Poor experience. Billed for services that weren't requested. Did not listen to me when I tried to explain my frustration. Would not visit again.
Told me I was too young to have the symptoms I was having and left me without a diagnosis. My symptoms have not gotten any better, only worse if anything. I will try to find a doctor that will atleast attempt to figure out what's wrong. He was also extremely rude.
Went in for foreskin tightness. He offered no medical opinion or information about cause so I could understand what was happening. Just "its inflammation". I had more information going in from Google. Never even mentioned the medical term. Terrible bedside manner. Wanted me to go straight to circumcision, without even trying meds to reduce inflammation. No way a doctor with such poor consultation would be doing any type of surgery on me. Definitely will be going elsewhere.
I had problems with a Urolift procedure performed by Dr. Bandi, one of the clips entered the bladder. When bladder stones resulted a couple of years later, a follow up cystoscopy in Georgetown Hospital which caused a UTI that shut down my urinary system forcing a catheterization for a week. The culture from the UIT revealed a strain of bacteria described as difficult to sterilize from medical instruments. Enough said. During the procedure he tried to remove the clip in the bladder but was unable to do so. He recommended a HO... read more
Spend very little time with me. Seems rushed. Did not perform any examination.
Dr. Bandi did the HOLEP on my prostate. I have had the incontinence for more than ten months. I wouldn't recommend him. It is interesting that even though I gave a "not recommend" review on MedStar, he still has the perfect rating there. You know how much what it means.
21 March 2017 Dr. Gaurav Bandi did right by me, once in 2010 when he did renal lithroscopy, and in 2017 with bladder lithroscopy. He well explained my condition, and I think that he is expert in urology! I am now well! Also, he used the whole morning of his off-day so that I could have the operation promptly! –––Richard S. Otto
Did not have the time of day to properly diagnose my problem. Hurried me out the door and I had to go to another doctor to get a proper diagnosis. Dr. Bandi said that he would be calling in a prescription for me, but when I showed up at the pharmacy they told me they had never heard from his office. When I asked Dr. Bandi's staff to call it in again, they insisted that it was already waiting there for me. Terribly unprofessional from start to finish. (Dr. Bandi was late to the apptnmnt as well)
Dr. Gaurav Bandi, MD has a 3.9 star rating with 88 reviews.
