Dr Femino performed total knee replacement on my 87 year old mom in January. The surgery/recovery to date couldn't have been better, well exceeding our expectations especially for the recovery. It has been only 6 weeks since surgery; mom is walking on her own, minimal pain, resuming household tasks and getting ready to try driving again. The Orthopedic wing at Clara Maass hospital in Belleville is excellent, staffed by wonderful, skilled, and kind nurses/aides. We cannot thank them enough!
Arthritis in my knees made walking difficult and stairs were so painful. Dr. Femino replaced my left knee in Feb 2016 and my right in Jan 2017. I’m now pain-free; getting around better than I have in years. Sorry I put it off so long. I have the utmost faith in his skill as a surgeon. His staff is great too. They took care of all my scheduling, pre-certs and insurance filings. Thanks to Dr. Femino, at age 82, I am going out with my family and living life to the fullest again. Highly recommend.
He is excellent! I wouldn't trade his skill and bedside manner for any other doctor. His staff is just awful, however. I would suggest anyone seeing him keep on the staff to ensure they have the correct contact information. This is something one shouldn't have to worry about as it falls in the realm of professionalism but they will send a final invoice to collection without verifying their information is correct. Unacceptable and quite shocking!
Dr. Femino completely changed my life. It has been 15 weeks since my hip replacement surgery and I am now walking without a cane.
Seven years ago, my ability to walk, and even stand, was compromised by the bone-on-bone contact in my right knee, jeopardizing my ability to travel for pleasure or to continue my active consulting services. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr. Femino by a local physical therapist, who had personally benefitted from the doctor's ability to rescue him from his own, very serious, knee problem. I attribute my successful surgery and present quality of life to the skill and caring of Dr. Femino.
On September 27th 2016 I had a hip replacement with Dr Frank Femino. He gave me back my life. I was suffering for 2 1/2 years and decide to see Dr Femino in January 2016. We discussed many options before deciding on the hip replacement. After discussing my options with Dr Femino, I knew that I was in good hands, and decide to have the surgery. His reputation is known to be the best, and he is!!!! I would recommend Dr Frank Femino to my family and friends for sure!!!!
Dr. Femino is the person you go to for a knee replacement. I have had bilateral replacements 8 years ago at the age of 53 and my life was restored. I would like to say that I am a Nurse Practitioner and I chose Dr. Femino based on observation and experience. I watched my patients with knee replacements and it was evident the ones treated by Dr. Femino exceeded all others. Physical therapists had nothing but praise on the recovery of his patients. I recommend him to everyone!
Almost 2yrs ago due to a very bad experience with my first hip replacement surgery done by another doctor when I went to visit Dr. Femino office he said that you would need to do a revision hip replacement on the same hip this terrified me due to the severe pain from the first time I vowed to never do it again but I have to say this was the very best decision made this the procedure experience was great not much pain after up in walking I would strongly recommend Dr.Femino office wonderful.
