ER experience was great but upon admission of a friend it quickly went to indifference and incompetence. With the exception of two nurses the medical staff was rude and showed no concern for the patient who laid in pain for over two days waiting for the doctor to finally show up for surgery. He was on a no food diet because the doctor kept saying he was coming in for emergency surgery. When a person Is sick In the Hospital you have to wait for nurse for a long time even when you call for a nurse with your call button that’s not right what if he or she has to go to the bathroom
Nursing care great BUT Case Managers must be fictitious position and people. I was supposed to go home with walker and commode. Didn’t care about commode but seriously wanted walker. I had major, major back surgery. The Director of the orthopedic spine unit confirmed order with doctor’s office. No walker when I was discharged. Promised home delivery. Today 4 days later . Still no deliver. 7 telephone calls to case manager on call. No return call. Multiple calls to national medical equipment. Not return calls and no walker. I... read more
Mom went in for a TEE /ICE Ablation and I was so blessed to see the wonderful attention she received from registration to the Pre- Post operation team. Their kindness and easy ways made my mom and myself at ease, I specially loved the sweetness, very kind nature of her attending nurse Jack in the main recovery room. Excellent, caring proff. Staff. HORRIBLE !!! Nurses are too busy to give proper care and end up giving very poor care. If you are going to brag that you have 407 beds, then hire the proper help for that many beds. “We are really busy” is what my mom kept hearing when she would ask repeatedly for her meds. Unless your name is Shula or Marino expect the same type of care.
