While Dr McGuigan is very technically competent his failure to visit my wife in the hospital which started as out patient surgery shows a lack of caring and concern for his patient. I would not recommend him if as a patient you need a doctor with empathy and good communication skills

Thank your Dr. Mcguigan for services you rendered to my son professional and in a timely fashion I couldn't rate him any other way he's the best 5 stars without a doubt he took good care of my son he came to him with broken shattered bones in both and on the left foot and he said it was bad from xray but that he could try and now my son got his splint off replaced with boot the incisions look perfect thank you to one of the best orthopedic surgeon's at Georgetown university hospital.

I had an incredible amount of anxiety going into surgery for peronial subluxation with lateral splits. It is NOT an easy surgery to recover from from. There is a lot of pain and physical therapy involved. Happy to say that I’ve been back on my feet and working in a job that requires physical effort in under 6 months. GUH is well staffed to handle this surgery, but please keep in mind it will take a lot on your part to rehab and prep prior to the surgery. Best of luck to you all! I had bunion surgery and ankle reconstruction surgery. Dr. mcQuigan did a great job. He was friendly, thorough and great at explaining everything. I saw him MULTIPLE times and only had one day with a ridiculous wait. Every other time was quick. He was kind and trustworthy. And a good surgeon.
