I wish I could give a higher rating, but since my mother has been in the hospital, it has truly been a nightmare. Getting answers to questions has much to be desired. Doctors keep telling us that "it is not their job to relay information to us." One staff member will tell us one thing and another staff member will tell us something that is completely the opposite. You go to the desk to ask the receptionist why the long wait and she informs you if your appt was at 9am then you should have been here at 5am because its first come first serve. I asked if its first come first serve what is the purpose of the schedule. If the OR has their own scheduling practices that's different than the surgeon's ... read more

The staff in the 3rd floor OR Waiting Area made the wait tolerable. Coffee was prepared and kept fresh and hot. The staff in the OR were attentive to the family waiting. Good job MedStar WHC!
